Welcome To Remedy
APRIL IS FERTILITY MONTH AT REMEDY
Traditional Chinese Medicine works in harmony with nature’s rhythms and cycles, including the menstrual cycle. If you are experiencing problems with fertility thisis an ideal time of year to try Acupuncture – in harmony with the seasons – Spring is the time for new beginnings and fresh growth.
Acupuncture can help with conditions that may be hindering natural fertility such as endometriosis, PCOS or simply irregular menstrual cycles.
It can also improve sperm count and motility.
Endorphins are released during a treatment that help reduce stress and relax you. This is especially helpful if you are considering assisted reproduction (IVF, ICSI). Acupuncture is invaluable for helping boost ovulation, improving blood flow to the pelvic organs and increasing the endometrial lining, thereby increasing your chances of success.
Our Acupuncturist, Sue Rushbrooke is a member of the Zita West Network of affiliated Acupuncturists. She has received extra training in reproductive health and instruction in the acupuncture protocols used in ZIta’s successful London clinic. (http://www.zitawest.com).
During April Sue is offering a course of of 6 Fertility Acupuncture treatments for £185 (usually £220). Thsi means that you get one treatment FREE.
For further information or to book a consultation call Sue on 07758 748248.

SINUS RELIEF
Did you know that your sinuses are not just located in your nose, they are also situated over the bridge of the nose, between the eyes, behind the eyes, above the eyes and behind the eyebrows, below the eyes and along the cheekbones. Bearing this in mind, just take a few moments to answer Yes or No to the following:
Do your sinuses feel congested, painful, sore, tight?
Is your nose constantly running or you are sneezing a lot?
Does the sinus area look red or spotty?
Do you find it hard to breathe clearly through your nose?
Have you got a persistent cold?
Do your ears feel blocked or have they got infected?
Do you have toothache or pain in your upper jaw?
Do you suffer from headaches?
Do you feel fuzzy headed and lacking in concentration?
If you answered Yes to any of these questions, your sinuses may be suffering.
Sinuses are air filled pockets (a bit like a sponge) located behind the facial bones. They produce mucus that shifts any debris, dust and bacteria into the adenoids (located behind the nose) where they are dealt with and then excreted by the body through our immune system.
During the winter months our sinuses are often the first line of defence against colds so if you want to ensure your sinuses are fit and healthy there are several treatments available at Remedy that can help. During February 2010 we are offering £10 off a Reflexology treatment with Hayley of Sole Nutrition to encourage you to give yoru sinuses a boost. Reflexology can help relax and reduce inflammation in the sinuses and acts to boost your immune system and help you get through the Winter. Call Hayley on 0115 9398313 to book your treatment.
On Friday 19th February we are running Sinus Self Help Workshop from 6.30pm for one hour. You will learn some great ways to boost your sinuses with simple Reflexology and Yoga techniques.
